Overview
This course is an introduction and overview of the character, importance and value of tidal creek habitats. These headwaters are the primary aquatic link between land and estuaries, acting as storm water receivers and filters, and cradle of fish and wildlife ecosystems. They are considered sentinel habitats that may provide the best early warning system to coastal environmental degradation on a time scale where we can make changes and can prevent environmental disasters.
