Overview
This course provides an
overview of the planning, design, and construction of ponds.
In this course, the student will review the USDA publication "Ponds - Planning,
Design, and Construction" This publication addresses the following subjects:
- water needs for a pond
- pond planning
- estimating stormwater runoff
- embankment ponds
- excavated ponds
- operating and maintaining the pond
- pond safety
This course is relevant to municipal engineers, highway engineers, and
consulting engineers serving private developers.
The student must take a
multiple-choice quiz consisting of thirty (30) questions at the end of this course
to earn PDH credits.
