Overview
This is an engineering level course on the circuit design of single stage, voltage feedback operational amplifier circuits. It shows how to easily characterize the input and output characteristics using basic network analysis methods. Several generic circuit types are presented.
The course is written for professional electrical engineers. In order to receive PDH credit, the student must pass a multiple choice quiz consisting of fifteen (15) questions.
Specific Knowledge or Skill Obtained
This course teaches the following specific knowledge and skills:
- Concise methods for getting the transfer function from the loop equations
- The gain and phase relations from the transfer function
- The input impedances
- Practical tips for offsetting, stabilizing and prototyping working circuits
