Overview
This 3-hour course reviews Title II of the Energy Policy Act of 2005. Title II of the Act concerns renewable energy in the United States.
Title II modifies and expands many existing Federal programs such as the Energy Conservation and Production Act, Energy Policy Act of 1992, The Geothermal Steam Act of 1970, and the Federal Power Act, to name a few. It includes plans for increased use of renewables at Federal facilities, development of new geothermal steam leases and related resources on public lands, public power hydroelectric facilities, and improvements and assistance for insular areas.
The student must take a multiple-choice quiz consisting of twenty-one (21) questions at the end of this course to obtain PDH credits.

This course teaches the following specific knowledge and skills:
- Understand the new renewable energy use requirements for Federal buildings and projects.
- Understand changes in lease provisions for Federal Geothermal systems.
- Understand the enhancements to public power hydroelectric projects.
- Understand how the United States is assisting insular areas with renewable projects and infrastructure protection.
