Overview
This 3-hour audio online course covers evaporation and condensation. Presumably, most of us know what these two terms mean. But, the implications of evaporation and condensation in process streams and in industry in general are enormous.
This course examines how evaporation and condensation are used in different industries. Evaporation is often used to remove undesirable liquids from the process train, or to evaporate off the desired liquid from other impurities. Condensation is performed for a variety of reasons. A typical application is to remove an entrained liquid from a gas stream.
The course author, who has over 40 years of experience with process systems, provides the insight of an engineer who has "been there and done it".
This course is provided in two forms for your convenience. The course may be studied as a “podcast” or audio presentation. The included audio files can be downloaded to your iPod or other personal mp3 player or they can be streamed using your computer’s default audio player (such as Windows Media Player). A written transcription is also provided should you wish to read the material.
To receive PDH credit, the user must pass a multiple-choice quiz of 15 questions after listening to the audio files or reading the transcription of the course.
