Evaporation and Condensation
J.
Edward Hardin, P.E.
Overview
This 3-hour audio online
course covers evaporation and condensation. Presumably, most of us know
what these two terms mean. But, the implications of evaporation and
condensation in process streams and in industry in general are enormous.
This course examines how
evaporation and condensation are used in different industries. Evaporation
is often used to remove undesirable liquids from the process train, or to
evaporate off the desired liquid from other impurities. Condensation is
performed for a variety of reasons. A typical application is to remove an
entrained liquid from a gas stream.
The course author, who
has over 40 years of experience with process systems,
provides the insight of an engineer who has "been there and done it".
The student must take a
multiple-choice quiz consisting of fifteen (15) questions at the end of
this course to obtain PDH credits.
