John R. White, P.E.

Overview

This 2-hour online course describes the importance of pipe support design, particularly in the power industry where high pressure and high temperature systems are encountered. The basic theories and principles of pipe stress calculations are discussed, although the course does not go into the detailed calculations, which are generally performed by reiterative computer programs.

The student must take a multiple-choice quiz consisting of thirteen (13) questions at the end of this course to obtain PDH credits.

Specific Knowledge or Skill Obtained
