Credit: 2 PDH
Course Fee: $57.90

Steven G. Liescheidt, P.E., CSI-CCS, CCPR

Overview

Unit ventilators, unit heaters and make-up air units are all HVAC equipment that are not always as glamorous as other HVAC equipment in a building; however, the proper selection of these items is imperative to the overall effectiveness of the HVAC system in a building.

In this course the student will learn some of the basics needed to evaluate and select unit ventilators, unit heaters and make-up air units including capacity evaluation, control techniques, applications, commissioning and maintenance.

The student is expected to read and review the material contained in the 2004 ASHRAE HVAC Systems And Equipment Handbook, Chapter 31 – Unit Ventilators, Unit Heaters and Makeup Air Units. Note that the 2004 ASHRAE HVAC Systems And Equipment Handbook is not provided as part of the purchase price for this course. It must be obtained separately by the student. If necessary, this document can be purchased through ASHRAE's online bookstore at

http://resourcecenter.ashrae.org/store/ashrae/ or by contacting ASHRAE at (404) 636-8400 Address: 1791 Tullie Circle, N.E., Atlanta, GA 30329
