Overview

It can be very challenging to prevent cost overruns during the course of completing a construction project in today’s design and construction environment. The primary challenges for these overruns can come from many factors including aggressive budgets and our current methods of communication including mass emails and ftp sites.

Unfortunately, designers can often be given the blame for these cost overruns even when they are not responsible for them.

This course covers how to effectively use allowances in design documents to prevent cost overruns from being attributed to design issues.
