Overview
This 4-hour course covers the concept of using biomass as a fuel source for electric power generation. The course reviews the types of biomass that can be used as fuel and the availability of the fuel supply. The methods to convert the biomass to a usable fuel are discussed as well as the issues of generating power with biomass. The environmental benefits and costs of using biomass as a fuel source are also discussed.
The student must take a multiple-choice quiz consisting of twenty-five (25) questions at the end of this course to earn PDH credits.
