Overview
Energy is the vital force powering business, manufacturing, and the transportation of goods and services to serve the American and world economies. Energy supply and demand plays an increasingly vital role in our national security and the economic output of our nation. It is not surprising that the United States spends over 500 billion dollars annually on energy.
In this course the student will learn about the various types of fuels currently used in the United States and fuels under research for future uses in the United States from the perspective of the Department of Energy.
The student is expected to read and review the material contained in U.S. Department of Energy Website http://www.energy.gov/energysources/print/index.htm as documented in the source document from 06/15/09.
The student must take a multiple-choice quiz consisting of ten (10) questions at the end of this course to obtain 1 PDH credit.
