BIRM serves as the basis of a comprehensive National Highway Institute training program in bridge-safety inspection.
Fundamentals of Bridge Inspections is one of a series of PDHengineer’s courses based on the BIRM. The reading material for this course is BIRM’s Section 3, Fundamentals of Bridge Inspection, covering the topic of the basics of bridge inspection. The course text is extracted from the December 2006 revision of the Federal Highway Administration Bridge Inspector’s Reference Manual, publication number FHWA NHI 03-001.
This course is intended primarily for civil, construction, and structural engineers, and would be of particular interest to consulting engineers or to engineers serving in government organizations concerned with the safety of bridges.
To earn PDH credits, you will be required to pass a multiple-choice quiz consisting of thirty-five (35) questions.
