Overview
This course addresses procedures used in the construction of traffic signals. Included in this course is a discussion of engineering plans preparation, bidding, contract administration, construction scheduling, and traffic signal installation procedures. The goal of any traffic signal installation is to provide a quality product that meets the intent of the plans and specifications, and to do so while maintaining both motorist and worker safety.
The student must take a multiple-choice quiz consisting of twenty-five (25) questions at the end of this course to obtain PDH credits.

- Construction procedures for controller cabinet installation
- Construction procedures for signal head installation
- Construction procedures for traffic signal grounding and bonding
- Construction procedures for inductance loop installation
- Construction procedures for electrical power service installation
