Digital logic circuits are very versatile circuits. They are used extensively in computers, telecommunications and manufacturing. Digital logic circuits are also used in many devices and products: hand-held devices, appliances, medical devices, alarm systems, energy management systems, automobiles, and aircraft. The object of the course is to provide an introduction to digital logic operations, components and circuits. The course provides an introduction to digital logic circuits that are common to programmable logic controllers and electronic logic gate representations.

This course is designed for engineers with limited experience in electrical devices and moderate math skills. The course provides a short history of digital logic, fundamental digital logic circuit design concepts, digital logic operations, component representations, and design approaches.
