Mr. Pazos received a M.S. in Naval Architecture and a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and he is a Registered Professional Engineer.

He completed further studies at Tulane, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Princeton Universities and other institutions.

Mr. Pazos has over 45 years of experience in design, construction, testing and operations of marine and offshore oil equipment, and has been involved in the investigation of accidents in these fields for over 35 years.

He started his own consulting firm in 1970 and has been involved as an expert witness in over 1,200 cases and has testified numerous times in court or by deposition in several states regarding personal injury, slips and falls, tripping, ladders and stairs, cranes, confined space, pipelines, fires and explosions, lifting, personnel transfer, drilling floor accidents, and many cases involving ship and boat collisions, capsizing, ship and boat design and construction, and other incidents related to the marine and offshore oil fields.  Mr. Pazos is an amateur artist and often supports his testimony by developing sketches in the courtroom.

Mr. Pazos is a boating enthusiast and a sailor and has owned and operated several boats up to 85 feet in length, participated in numerous sea trials of commercial and navy ships, and has authored numerous articles printed in trade magazines.
