Subject Matter Expert: Stephen J. Vamosi, P.E.
Stephen J. Vamosi, P.E., is a professional engineer, registered in 38 states. He is the founder and CEO of a 30+ person A/E consulting firm. (Intertech Design Services, Inc.).
Mr. Vamosi graduated in 1961 from the Technical University of Budapest, Hungary and started his teaching career immediately following his graduation at the same University. He immigrated to the United States in 1967 and worked for various consulting engineering firms in NYC.
Mr. Vamosi joined Procter & Gamble Company in Cincinnati in 1969 as a staff engineer. In 1975 he was hired as Associate Professor of Architecture by the University of Cincinnati’s Department of Architecture and Interior Design to teach Environmental Technologies. In 1978 he joined the faculty of MIT in Cambridge, MA.
During his tenured career he participated in several research projects (founded and unfounded), authored professional newspaper articles and presented numerous papers at professional conventions and meetings. He retired from the University of Cincinnati in 2000 as Professor Emeritus.
In 1975 he opened his own consulting engineering firm (Vamosi Associates), which later became Intertech Design Services, Inc.
