Continuing education PDH for Florida Professional Engineers

Welcome Florida Professional Engineers

For the 2009-2011 renewal cycle, all Florida Professional Engineers must renew licenses before February 28, 2011. PDHengineer is an approved sponsor of continuing education for Florida engineers.  The board mandates that continuing education must be comprised of two components:

  1. Laws and Rules: Each engineer must complete a 4 PDH course covering the Florida Laws and Rules for engineers. PDHengineer, a service mark of Decatur Professional Development, LLC, is an approved Laws and Rules course provider (FL Board Course No. 0000130).
  2. Area of Practice: Engineers must also earn 4 PDH in the engineer's area of practice from a board-approved continuing education provider. PDHengineer is also approved to offer Area of Practice courses (Continuing Education Provider #00003610).

Florida Laws and Rules for Engineers (4 PDH)

This PDHengineer course is approved to meet the Florida State Board Laws and Rules requirement for the February 28, 2011 license renewal deadline. It is also valid for late renewals of the February 28, 2009 renewal. You will find this course fast-paced and interesting. It covers the Florida Engineering Code with emphasis on changes since the last renewal period. The course also discusses recent disciplinary actions taken by the board.

One of the changes made by the Board for the 2009-2011 renewal cycle concerns the reporting of continuing education credits. The continuing education provider must now electronically report both Laws and Rules and Area of Practice course credits to the Board. This is a change from prior years when individual engineers were responsible for reporting Area of Practice courses. PDHengineer complies with this new rule and will report all PDH credits directly to the Board.

Over the years, thousands of engineers have completed online courses that have been accepted by state licensing boards across the country including Florida. In fact, we've never had one of our courses rejected by ANY state engineering board. We're confident enough to offer an iron-clad money back guarantee. If any PDHengineer.com online course is rejected by your state engineering board for any reason, you get your money back. Period.
