![]() Welcome Idaho Professional EngineersEffective May 8, 2009, Professional Engineers licensed in the state of Idaho are mandated to earn 30 PDH during each renewal biennium. This two-year period begins on the first day of the month after the engineer's month of birth and coincides with the licensing period for PEs, whose licenses expire on the last day of their birth month. Alternately, the engineer can elect to earn 30 PDH in the two calendar year period that begins closest to his license renewal. The Idaho Board does not pre-approve continuing education courses or sponsors, and reserves the right to determine if any specific continuing education activity meets the state requirements. A qualified activity is defined as having a clear purpose and objective which will maintain, improve, or expand the skills and knowledge relevant to the licensees field of practice or practices. Additionally, PDH must be earned from two or more "activities."
