Professional Engineers in the state of Kansas must meet a continuing education requirement of 30 PDH biennially. PDH must be completed before the license renewal deadlines of April 30 in even-numbered years for last names beginning with A - L and April 30 in odd-numbered years for last names M - Z.
The Kansas Board does not pre-approve courses or continuing education
providers, but instead holds the engineer responsible to determine if the course
has a "clear purpose and objective which will maintain, improve, or expand the
skills and knowledge relevant to the licensee's field of practice."

Below is a summary of the Board's continuing education requirements for engineers licensed in the state of Kansas:

| Renewal Dates | April 30 of even-numbered years for licensees whose last name begins
with one of the letters A through L. April 30 of odd-numbered years for licensees whose last name begins with one of the letters M through Z. |

| Online Courses | Accepted. There is no limit on the number of hours that can be earned through online continuing education. |
| PDH Carryover | A maximum of 30 PDH may be carried forward into the next renewal period, except that no carry-over hours are allowed for the first reporting period. |
