Continuing education (PDH) requirements for Nevada professional engineers

Welcome Nevada Professional Engineers
Nevada professional engineers are required to earn 30 PDH biennially to maintain licensure.  The Board lists a number of different acceptable continuing education activities, including correspondence courses.  While the Nevada board does not mandate or pre-approve specific courses or providers, they do require that the courses cover material that is technical, ethical, or managerial in nature and that the activity pertains to the practice of engineering.

Note that PDHengineer's online courses fall under the category of "correspondence courses."  The Nevada Administration Code accepts PDH credit for "correspondence courses on an engineering/land surveying topic where lessons are prepared, returned for credit and/or grading, and testing at the end of the course is required."

PDHengineer meets these requirements as follows:

  • Hours of preparation and preplanning go into the development of each PDHengineer online course.
  • All PDHengineer courses require the completion of an online multiple-choice quiz with a passing grade of 70%.  While you may attempt the quiz as many times as necessary at no additional charge, you will not be able to access your certificate of completion until you pass the online quiz.

Nevada's professional engineers have been using PDHengineer.com since 2003 to earn high quality continuing education. Our course authors are experts in the fields they teach, and most have a graduate degree or have taught at the university level.

Over the years, thousands of engineers have completed online courses that have been accepted by the state licensing boards around the country.  In fact, we've never had one of our courses rejected by ANY state engineering board.  We're confident enough to offer an iron-clad money back guarantee.  If any PDHengineer.com online course is rejected by your state engineering board for any reason, you get your money back.  Period.

In our online course catalog, you will find courses that meet the board's requirement covering all major areas of engineering practice.  We offer a wide variety of subjects including today's hottest engineering topics.

Additionally, PDHengineer.com also provides a free online ethics course, Professional Ethics for Engineers, that can serve as part of your PDH requirement.  We provide this course free to you as a way to introduce you to the services we offer.  There's no obligation to buy other courses.
