Nevada professional engineers are required to earn 30 PDH biennially to
maintain licensure. The Board lists a number of different acceptable continuing
education activities, including correspondence courses. While the Nevada board
does not mandate or pre-approve specific courses or providers, they do require
that the courses cover material that is technical, ethical, or managerial in
nature and that the activity pertains to the practice of engineering.

The Nevada Administration Code accepts PDH credit for "correspondence courses on an engineering/land surveying topic where lessons are prepared, returned for credit and/or grading, and testing at the end of the course is required."

Below is a summary of the Board's continuing education requirements for engineers licensed in the state of Nevada:

| Course Approval | The Board does not pre-approve providers or specific courses. Each engineer must determine whether an activity meets the Board's requirements, however guidelines have been provided as shown above. |
| Course Content | Courses must be "of an engineering content which relates to the registrant's field of practice". |
| Online Courses | Accepted. There is no limit on the number of hours that can be earned through online continuing education. |
| PDH Carryover | A maximum of 15 PDH may be carried forward into the next renewal period. |
