Oregon PEs are required to earn 30 PDH biennially. The Oregon Board does not
mandate or pre-approve specific courses or providers. However the Board does
state on the "Professional Development" page of their website that,
"what the Board is going to be looking at is if the course is technical in
nature and pertains to your license."
On the other hand, the Oregon Administrative Rules, Paragraph 820-10-0635(2)(i) states "PDH units may be earned as follows: Non-technical educational activities related to the registrant's employment."
Given the confusion regarding the Board's position on the issue, it would be prudent to contact the Board for additional clarification before attempting to complete "non-technical" courses for PDH credit. However, online courses in "technical areas" are clearly allowed by the Board provided they pertain to your license.
Over the years, thousands of engineers have completed online courses that have been accepted by state licensing boards across the country including Oregon. In fact, we've never had one of our courses rejected by ANY state engineering board. We're confident enough to offer an iron-clad money back guarantee.
