Welcome
South Dakota Professional Engineers |
 |
|
|
|
| South Dakota's
professional engineers have been using PDHengineer.com since 2003 to
earn high quality continuing education.
Over the years, thousands of engineers
have completed online courses that have been accepted by the South
Dakota board. In fact, we've never had one of our courses
rejected by ANY state engineering board. We're confident
enough to offer an iron-clad money back
guarantee. If any PDHengineer.com online course is
rejected by your state engineering board for any reason, you get your
money back. Period. |

|
|
| South Dakota PEs
are required to earn 30 PDH biennially, and all of your PDH can be earned
with online courses*. While the state board does
not mandate or pre-approve specific courses or providers, they do require
that at least 20 of the 30 required hours pertain to the protection of the
Health, Safety, and Welfare. The remaining 10 PDH can
be earned in the areas of management, ethics and computer training (with
the exception of CADD).
*The Board allows "Successful completion of correspondence, televised, videotaped,
audiotaped, Internet and other short courses or tutorials with verifiable passing scores from examinations. Note that all PDHengineer online courses require the completion of an online multiple-choice quiz with a passing grade of 70%. While you may attempt the online quiz as many times as necessary at no additional charge, you will not be able to access your certificate of completion until you pass the online quiz. Also, note that your quiz score is permanently stored in your online login account and can be retrieved by you at any time to comply with the Boards requirement for verifiable passing
scores. PDHengineer's testing mechanism for online courses meets the Board's intent, which has been demonstrated over the years by many South Dakota PE's who have successfully submitted PDHengineer online courses to the Board for PDH credit.
In our course
online catalog, you will notice a large number of courses listed with
a notation of "HSW" which means the course
includes material pertaining to Health, Safety, and
Welfare. These HSW courses meet the
board's content requirements.
Additionally, PDHengineer.com provides a free online
ethics course, Professional
Ethics for Engineers, that can serve as part of your PDH
requirement. We provide this course free to you as a way to introduce
you to the services we offer. There's no obligation to buy other
courses.
