Subject Matter Expert American Galvanizers Association

 

Melissa Lindsley is the Marketing Manager of the American Galvanizers Association (AGA) located in Centennial, CO. She received her B.S. in Journalism from the University of Kansas in 2003 and has worked for the AGA for the past three years. Under the tutelage of Dr. Thomas Langill, AGA Technical Director, and Philip Rahrig, AGA Executive Director, Melissa has developed a comprehensive understanding of and passion for the hot-dip galvanizing industry.

 

Philip G. Rahrig has been the Executive Director of the American Galvanizers Association (AGA) for 14 years. His educational background is physics and business (Xavier University) and he has developed an expertise in the marketing of technical products. Phil has conducted hundreds of seminars on the topics of the galvanizing process, corrosion theory/mechanisms, painting over hot-dip galvanized steel, and life-cycle costing analysis. Extensive visits to numerous galvanizing facilities and hundreds of sites where hot-dip galvanized steel is used has given him a unique insight into the match of performance and intended use. He has the particular skills to explain the process, performance and uses of hot-dip galvanized steel to people of all levels of understanding.
