Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
A portion of the revenue from every course sold on PDHengineer.com is donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The mission of the CF Foundation is to assure the development of the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease. It funds medical research and care programs which are improving the length and quality of life for people with CF.
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disease affecting approximately 30,000 children and adults in the United States. A defective gene causes the body to produce an abnormally thick, sticky mucus that clogs the lungs and leads to life-threatening lung infections. According to the CF Foundation's National Patient Registry, the median age of survival for a person with CF is 33.4 years.
