How do I take an online course for credit?

Taking online courses for credit on PDHengineer.com is easy. You can view courses online at anytime free of charge. Once you choose a course, you simply set up a user account and login to pay for the course and take a quiz for credit. Your quiz will be automatically graded and you will be immediately informed of the results. Upon passing the quiz, you will need to print a certificate of completion for your records. How much time do I have to take an online course?

You can view and print the course anytime free of charge on PDHengineer.com. Take as long as you like to study the course material. After purchasing a course, you have 1 year from the date of purchase to take and pass the quiz for PDH credits.

How is the quiz structured?

Quizzes are usually multiple choice questions. Each multiple-choice question has four choices for an answer and you are required to click on the button next to the most appropriate answer.

How long is the quiz and is the quiz timed?

Quizzes are not timed. You can view and print the quiz anytime and take as long as you like to complete it. The length of the quiz varies according to the course length. The typical number of quiz questions is as follows:

1 to 2 PDH - 10 Questions
3 PDH - 15 Questions
4 PDH - 20 Questions
5+ PDH - 5 Questions per Credit Hour

What is the passing grade for an online quiz?

You must answer at least 70% of the questions correctly to pass the quiz.

Can I retake the quiz if I do not pass it on the first attempt?

You may retake the quiz as many times as necessary to pass it at no additional charge for a period of 1 year after the date of purchase.

How do I access the quiz for a course that I've already purchased during a previous site visit?

There are two paths you can take to access a quiz for a previously purchased course. You can click on My Account at the top of any page within PDHengineer.com's website. Then, click the "Courses Purchased But Not Yet Completed" link. From the list of courses, click on "Take Quiz" to access the quiz.

The second method available is through the course overview page. Find the course on our site by using the Search box at the top right of the screen or click on the "Courses" tab below the search box and navigate through the disciplines to find the course. Once you have located the course overview page, scroll to the bottom and click the red button that is marked "Buy Course/Take Quiz."

In each of the cases listed above, our database will recognize that you have already paid for the course (if less than 1 year has elapsed since the purchase date) and you will not be required to submit a payment to take the quiz for PDH credits.
