Description
PDHengineer.com is seeking engineers with excellent presentation skills to serve as ethics instructors at live web seminars (webinars). This is a part-time, contract opportunity – with dates to be determined based on the needs of our clients. The position lends itself especially well to retired, semi-retired, or self-employed engineers, or any other engineers who have flexibility in scheduling.
Applicants should have an engineering background in any industry, and a strong commitment to the concept of ethics in engineering. These one- or two-hour webinars are typically scheduled a minimum of 30 days in advance based upon the clients’ needs, which allows adequate time to select specific dates that will accommodate the needs of both the instructor and the client. Although ethics webinars can be schedule at any time during normal working hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, most are scheduled to begin at noon ET.
Candidates for this position must be skilled at public speaking and preferably have experience presenting training materials. Our training events are designed to be interactive. Candidates must have an outgoing personality allowing them to interact with seminar attendees from various areas and backgrounds. Consideration of candidates is made based on a review of qualifications and education and on the basis of performance in a short “audition” presentation given for our in-house review staff. Candidates for this position cannot have any history of discipline from any engineering board or similar regulating body.
Although it is not required, if the candidate has pre-prepared training material or is willing to prepare new material, it can be considered for use within this program.
