Matthew Wuerth, P.E.

Matthew Wuerth, P.E., is a licensed Professional Engineer with over 19 years of experience in mechanical engineering, specializing in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and high-efficiency building systems. As Principal and Professional Mechanical Engineer at Peterson, Wuerth & Associates, LLC since 2020, he delivers innovative, client-focused solutions that optimize performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness across a wide range of projects, including educational, healthcare, residential, commercial, and industrial facilities.

His career also includes serving as a sole-proprietor engineer from 2013 to 2020, providing design and consulting services for medical device prototyping and dialysis equipment, as well as holding positions with CMTA Consulting Engineers, Precision Air, Inc., and Peterson & Associates, Inc., where he managed projects from conception through implementation. Matt’s engineering pursuits extend to innovation and invention—he currently holds a pending patent for a magnetocaloric temperature control system.

Matt earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky in 2009, where he was awarded both an engineering scholarship and a merit scholarship from the Catholic Education Foundation. He is a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society. Licensed in 17 states, Matt is proficient in multiple CAD applications and brings strong expertise in project management and consulting engineering to his work.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Matt serves as a firefighter with the Spring Hill Fire Department, demonstrating his dedication to community safety. His notable projects include mechanical designs for Jackson-Madison Hospital, renovations for Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen’s residence, and new construction for celebrities Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.
