Dieter Jarofski

Dieter Jarofski is an electrical engineer with a distinguished professional career in product development and design, specializing in optical process control sensors and environmental sensor products for building automation. He holds a master’s degree and is an iNARTE-certified EMC engineer.

With 38 years of engineering design experience, including more than 25 years in project, program, and engineering management, Dieter has led numerous successful product releases and gained extensive field experience evaluating the performance of installed systems. Throughout his career, he has focused on developing a deeper understanding of sensor interaction with the environment to reliably assess operation and enable effective troubleshooting.

Dieter has worked primarily in the industrial process control and building automation industries. In his most recent role at Schneider Electric, he designed embedded sensor devices for temperature and humidity measurement in both industrial and residential applications before retiring. Due to the need for electromagnetic compliance in product design, he developed an early interest in studying the origin and impact of electromagnetic interference and earned EMC engineering certification from iNARTE.

Dieter holds two patents for innovative sensor designs. For five years, he also taught electrical engineering courses at a technical college for associate and bachelor’s degree programs. Passionate about continuing education, he strives to present complex engineering subjects in a clear and easily understandable manner, supported by real-life application examples.
