To meet the Ohio Board's intent that online courses be "paced" by the provider, a timer will be used to record your study time. You will be unable to access the quiz until the required study time of 220 minutes has been met.

The Introduction to ASME Section IX course provides a comprehensive understanding of ASME Section IX, which is an essential standard for welding and welder qualification. This course teaches the following specific knowledge and skills:
- The criteria and process for qualifying welders and understanding the importance of welder training and certification.
- Understanding the historical context and evolution of ASME Section IX and its importance in the field of welding.
- Familiarity with the organizational structure and layout of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) and its relationship to ASME Section IX.
- Proficiency in navigating and interpreting the requirements and guidelines outlined in ASME Section IX.
- Competence in evaluating and interpreting Procedure Qualification Records (PQRs) to ensure compliance with ASME Section IX.
- Knowledge of the criteria and process for qualifying welders and understanding the significance of welder qualification in welding operations.

You will be able to immediately print a certificate of completion after passing a multiple-choice quiz consisting of 24 questions. PDH credits are not awarded until the course is completed and quiz is passed.
