This course will establish the definition of microgrids, various components, operating in parallel with the grid vs. in island mode, natural disasters, impact on electric and gas, floods, wildfires, distributed energy resources’ damage: solar, energy storage, and wind.

Additionally, we will cover the future of microgrids, microgrid controllers, utility microgrid ownership, and the utility’s role in studying, evaluating, and operating customer microgrids.
