The reciprocating piston engine is one of the most influential machines ever invented by mankind. From its early beginnings as a steam engine, the piston engine has revolutionized the way we live, work, and travel. This course will teach you more about this truly amazing machine.
The course is designed to take you from zero to hero concerning combustion engine knowledge. Even if you already have some background knowledge, this course will serve as an efficient refresher.
Whatever your level of understanding or engineering background, you have likely never taken an engineering course like this one. The course is packed with images, 2D animations, 3D animations, and high-quality narrated content.
Specific Knowledge or Skill Obtained
This course teaches the following specific knowledge and skills:
- Diesel engine components (Piston Rings, Rocker Arms, Valves etc.)
- Diesel engine systems (Water, Oil, Air, Exhaust and Electrical)
- Diesel engine terminology (BDC, TDC, Firing Order etc.)
- How diesel engine ancillaries work (Turbocharger, Supercharger etc.)
Certificate of Completion
You will be able to immediately print a certificate of completion after passing a multiple-choice quiz consisting of 33 questions. PDH credits are not awarded until the course is completed and quiz is passed.
