Overview
To meet the Ohio Board's intent that online courses be "paced" by the provider, a timer will be used to record your study time. You will be unable to access the quiz until the required study time of 200 minutes has been met.

This four-hour course covers the current status of electric utility grid-level energy storage systems. The benefits to the electric industry are discussed from the generator to the end-user. Several types of energy storage technologies are covered including battery systems, pump storage hydro, flywheels, compressed air storage, capacitor and even plug-in electric vehicles.

- Know how ESS can benefit T&D infrastructure
- Understand the advantages of lead-acid batteries
- Understand the benefits of sodium sulfur batteries
- Know how compressed air can be used for energy storage
- See the potential benefit of PHEV for energy storage

You will be able to immediately print a certificate of completion after passing a multiple-choice quiz consisting of 25 questions. PDH credits are not awarded until the course is completed and quiz is passed.
