The Texas Board of Professional Engineers (TBPE) rescinded Policy Advisory 09-98-A, Regarding Design, Evaluation and Repair of Residential Foundations. The TBPE now references The Texas Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers and its two documents, Guidelines for the Evaluation and Repair of Residential Foundations, and Recommended Practice for the Design of Residential Foundations.

In this course the student will study the Guidelines for the Evaluation and Repair of Residential Foundations, which is available for download at no cost from the TxASCE web site.

As in the Guidelines, the course is largely non-technical. Technical details of residential foundation evaluation and repair are not discussed. As part of the course, the course author's commentary is provided in the link below.
