Deandra T. Cassone, PMP, PhD

Deandra T. Cassone, PMP, PhD is experienced in both industry and academia. Her twenty years of consulting experience involves working with Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and the military applying decision science and analytical methods to solve complex problems. Her twelve years of experience working for Fortune 100 companies includes serving as a subject matter expert and in management positions in domain areas such as technology development, logistics operations, operational excellence, strategic project management and manufacturing operations. She has been awarded twelve business process patents and a corporate-wide innovation leadership award and maintains an active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Additionally, she has developed and taught eleven different graduate engineering courses over a twelve-year time span as both an adjunct and a full-time professor for Missouri University of Science and Technology and Kansas State University. She has also published a number of book in the field of applied decision science, based on real-world applications of decision-making methods.

She received a B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Kansas State University. Currently, she is the Director of Administration, Development, and Outreach in the Center for Medical Informatics at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
