James L. Ray, P.E.

James L. Ray, Jr., P.E., holds a B.S. and M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Louisville and is a registered Professional Engineer in the states of Alabama and Arkansas. He has over 32 years of engineering experience in the aerospace and defense industries. Some of his key projects include developing the SWCS MK11, a man-rated Navy SEAL submersible, developing the NASA Ares 1-X Test Vehicle Roll Control Propulsion System using Peacekeeper rocket engines, and designing and building the Binary Destruct Facility to destroy chemical weapons. Mr. Ray is currently employed as a Project Manager and Lead Engineer at Teledyne Brown Engineering in Huntsville, AL developing molten salt technologies for future nuclear power.
