This course is of particular interest of anybody involved with concrete structures like Civil or Structural Engineers. Very little knowledge of previous ACI codes is needed. This course covers the design of rectangular singularly reinforced concrete beams. There will be many references to ACI 318-14 but you do not need a copy of the code. Several design aids are included in the course. Three examples are worked out in detail. Many terms related to reinforced concrete beams are covered.

Specific Knowledge or Skill Obtained

This course teaches the following specific knowledge and skills:

  • How to design rectangular singularly reinforced concrete beams,
